Wine uses

Wine is an aromatic, alcoholic drink made from the fermented juice of grapes. It not only can make a meal or occasion more special, but it has many other uses as well! Many people wonder what they can do with that last little bit of wine left in the bottle. You could drink it, but there are other creative ways to use this rich beverage.

Wine if often used in cooking. It makes a wonderful marinade for beef when mixed with olive oil and other spices. It helps to tenderize any cut of meat and give a bold and rich flavor. It can also be used to make wonderful pan sauces to go over meats, poultry, and fish. The wine can be added to a pan to de-glaze the wonderful meat bits and make a delectable sauce.

Wine can also be used for medical purposes. Studies have shown that a glass of wine a day can help with heart conditions and even other illnesses. Red wine is especially beneficial in it’s properties when used to help with some illnesses. Wine has even been proven to help prevent cancer. This gives us another important reason to drink a glass in moderation.

Wine has long been used in religious ceremonies, usually during communion or other types of services. It is thought to symbolize the blood of Christ. Many Catholic churches serve wine with their holy communion.

Wine isn’t just for drinking! It has many uses and they are all beneficial. Drinking wine can be enjoyable and there are so many varieties to keep you coming back for more!
